I've driven past this restaurant countless times over the past several decades, which, tells you they must be doing something right. My boyfriend and I finally decided to go here for the first time last night. Decor is overwhelming, but food is delicious. Everything is lighted battered, deliciously coated and large in portion. The orange chicken, especially, is sweet and doesn't create an aftertaste. I'm not sure if the below reviews had their taste senors blocked, but I'm happy Tae Fu is in my neighborhood.

It has been eons since my first visit to Tae Fu; that's why this qualifies as a first review and as many of my Yelp friends have written; this place gets a lot of feedback: pro and con.So, somebody hit a gong and let the review begin! Though this meal was a work related pow wow, we chose to meet at Tae Fu. I will say that when you walk in the place smells pretty good, it's also got "the look". The hostess was very attentive and put us in a good spot.Tae Fu offers Mandarin, as well as Cantonese options; quite a few choices, specialties, hot and not so hot, big and not so big. We spent some time perusing the menu. There was a big point of order at this meeting though: and it was aimed at the folks at Tae Fu. No MSG anywhere, otherwise three of the participants would keel. Good news, our server took serious note of that and riled up the kitchen staff. As far as my meal, I liked the veggie egg rolls - good and spicy. My Moo Shu Vegetable entree was also good, and I liked the fried rice. But I ordered Ho Fen and I received soft noodles instead. My only other complaint was that luke warm tea is not my cup of tea.My friends had mixed feelings about their food, but three of them gave high marks to the appetizer platter which had 4 or 5 standard options. Two of them totally loved the Mongolian Trio house specialty. Their meals ran about $13.00 per entree. This spot has lunch specials that are very low cost, but we must have hit an a la carte night. This was not a bad meal in any way and they were really big on the customer service angle. They do carry out and delivery, as well. I think Tae Fu is a keeper, especially if you happen to find and stick to sure fire, go-to options.

This place has been here forever, a family favorite. My first hot sour soup as a kid - hot sour soup in every Chinese place ever since has been a disappointment. The soup has a reddish clear broth and wonderful sourness. They have Korean ...?
